Lay and Hugh Wilson, was making up the employees’ pay last night, when Mr. Shortis, lately private secretary to the manager of the mill, entered the ofiice and, picking up Mr. Lowe’s revolver, shot Wilson in the side and then fired at Lay, killing him instantly.
