The expression is made that the financial results of the concert have not so muco been a subject ct For- cstric deliberations as thc placing ol :1 good thing betorc the people. who it‘was conceded always knew and patronized a really artistic presentation. New lilXK.â€"-A meeting was held on | Friday evening last for the purpose of discussing the building, of a new rink, to he used for curling. It was decided to go right ahead with the project, and committees were appointed to look after the various details. The build- ing will be about 105x 35 feet in size, a d will cost in the neighborhood of $400, of which shares to the extent of 8200 have airealy been disposed of. The new structure will fill a long felt want, as the ice in the present rink has never been satisfactory, the skates of the skaters cutting it away at places and making it unlcvcl, and thc time for curlingr was limited, as the skaters and hockey players had to have their share ofit. It is expected that, with good straight. ice, and the rink open for curl- ingr every day, many new members will be added. a great impetus given to the game, and, with a larger membership and constant practice, our curlers will be able to go forth and outcurl all crea- tion, cover themselves and this village with glory, and win more taokards and things than they will know what to do with.
