The pain and localized conditions are more results of constitutional conditions. Poisoned blood sends its evil influence to various parts of the body, and to cure per- manently you must treat it constitutionally. Nothing so completely dispels these poisons from the system as Fen-ozone It makes new blool. It imparts vitality and vigor, enabling the system to throw off the poisons that engender rheumatism. Fcrrozone also t’ortiï¬es the system against the weakening effects of rheumatism, and cures, not simply relieves as most medicines do. Sold by W. H. At any rate, there is now no end‘ of it, and those who like its fla- vor, and know that it is a healthful aperient, pluck or cut it and eat it with bread and butter, with which it “goes good.†W hero watercress one gets a hold it is hard to eradicate, and the lit- the creek that flows past the Gazette ofï¬ce is nearly choked with it, though cleaned out and widened last year. Such a creek near a city inithe old coun- try, where Watercress is very extensively used, would be worth a lot of money, as the plant grows up again, like grass or thistl‘es. after every cutting, so that a bed of it gives several crops during the season. The Fenelon agricultural Show will be held here on Wednesday and rl-‘rhursda-y, October 15th and 16th. CORRESPONDENCE . To the Editor of (he Fenclon Falls Gazelle : Sm, I desire to draw the attention of the ratepayers of Fenelon Falls to the manner v their council have of doing bussncss for the corporation. Some time ago, desiring to rent the detached house on Francis St. owned by the corporation, I- sought for in- formation from your reeve, who informed me that the StreetandSidewalk Committee, of which Councillor McGee was chairman, had authority to deal with the matter. I asked Mr. McGee if the house was rented. He said “Yes,†and then informed me it was and it wasn’t; that he was trying to deal off his own residence, and, if success- ful,‘he wanted it for himself, but if unsuc- cessful in his negotiations it would be to rent. Isaw Mr. McGee several times in the course of the following week, and, not getting any satisfaction, I asked your reeve if McGee had authority to juggle with cor- poration property in this manner. His rc- ply was that he guessed. he had“. I inter- viewed McGee twice more, receiving the same undecided reply. Then, learning from Councillor Austin that Councillor McGee had no such authority, and that such business had to come before the counâ€" cil, I handed a written application to the clerk on Saturday, Aug 29th. When your council met on Sept. 2nd, my application was before them. Councillor McGee, back- ed by Reevc McFarland, wished to reject it because he had applied verbally to the move two weeks previous. Councillor Austin moved that- my application be ac- cepted, as it. was the only application be- fore the council. Then, Mr. Editor, was seen a business spectacle. Councillor Mc- Gee, sitting at at the council board, wrote and handed in an application to become a lessee of the corporation of whose council he is a member, and this application was re- ceived by your council. A motion was then passed appointing the rceve and Coun- cillors Robson and Deyman a commitiee to deal with the matter. This they did in it ï¬ve minute session held the following day in Mr. Deyman’s workshop, by renting the house to Councillor McGee. Mr. Edi- tor: your rceve and Councillor McGee not only told an untruth, butkept that untrnth going for two weeks, and misled me from start to ï¬nish in order to give Councillor McGee time to complete the negotiations for the sale or rental of his own property. Councillor McGee cannot legally become a lessee of the corporation and remain a member of the council, and any contract made by him with the council whils he is a member of that body is strictly illegal. Not being a ratepayer, I am barred from- taking any action, and take the advantage offered through the medium of your esteem- ed papor to lay the matter before those who have the power to stop and annul these illegal acts of your council, should they desire to do so. Yours truly, I. F. MANN. ». v3 KAWARTHA LAKES. TRENT VALLEY NAVIGATION COMPANY, HIS LIVER DIDN’T WORK.
