The regular meetings of the F‘armers' and Women’s Institutes will be held at Fenelon Falls on ll’ednesday, Feb. 2lst, and at Bobcaygeon the following day. These meetings are usually held in the latter part of November or early In December, but were postponed on ac- count of the elections. _ afternoon meetings and a joint meeting in the evening, with a good programme. A good attendance is looked for at these meetings. North Ward School Scorched. An alarm of tire shortly before noon on Thursday of last Week caused consider- able‘excitement for a few minutes. The scene of the trouble was the north ward school, where a spark from one of the furnace pipes had ignited a, partition under the south side of the main stair- way. At six o'clock the bride entered the parlor to the strains of Lohengrin’s wedding march, companied by her brother, Mr. Joseph Southam, she met the groom, who was awaiting her under an arch of evergreens and white flowers. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Honey of Bobcaygeon. The bride looked lovely in a dress of biscuit colored silk, trimmed with satin folds of a little deeper shade, and wore a wreath 3f orange blossoms in her hair. After the signing of the register the bride and groom were conducted to the din- ingroom, which was tastefully decorated with evergreens and white ribbon and where a sumptuous ropast awaited them.
