Mr. Stanley Ellis of Cobalt is visiting Fenelon Falls rcluiivvs. Fair Night Concert. ‘The entertainment committee of the Fenelon fair have secured the services of Lily' Lorrell Howard, singing come- dienne, and Mr. Robert Clarke, ventril- oquist and humorous entertainer, for the concert on Thursday evening, Sept. 11th in Dickson's hall. Both these artists have the very best recommenda- tions, and a first-class entertainment- may be confidently expected. Tickets 350. and 250. I ..n To Reconstruct Esturion. __.-... The Lindsay Post states that the own- ers of the steamer Esturion, the Trent Valley Navigation 00., it is said contemâ€" plate making somc important changes in her for next season. The present engines will be removed and powerful twin en- gines to drive twin screws will be put in. The overhang at the sides where the paddle wheels now are, will be cut ofl by about eighteen inches. A dancing floor .will be built where some of the engine room now is, and means will be provided so that the ex- posed parts of the upper deck can be closed in with canvas in a few minutes in case of rain. There will be other changesof a minor nature. If the proposed plans are carried out the boating pubic will hardly recognize their old friend, the Esturion. -0 Will ludge Poultry at Fenelonfair. Mr. D. C. Trew, of Lindsay, the well known poultry judge, who has» just returned from Edmonton, where he placed the awards on a. largeie‘xhibit of birds, will officiate at the fall fair here on the 11th. Mr. Jones was an Englishman and came to Pctcrboro seven years ago. He had been a member of the Salvation Army for thirty years, in fact since he was a‘ boy, and was a bandsman for over twenty-five years. The interpretation given by Mrs. Howard was a genuine delight.
