Dear sinâ€"Regarding the'. sanita- tion of the dilierent churches of the village don’t you think, Mr. Editor', it is quite time something should be done toward instructing the care- takers and ushers of the said churchâ€" as in regard to the proper ventila- tion of our places of worship ? If they could be brought to understand that overheated churches are as much of a menace' to the health of the people who assemble there as many other conditions which they shun like the plague, they would perhaps have more consideration. If they could realize that it is difficult to attend properly to a service, to have a clear brain and a quick unâ€" derstanding while breathing in an atmosphere surcharged with the stale exhalations of humanity, they might perchance wake up to a sense of their duties. As a building prop- perly ventilated before heating is twice as easily warmed as. an unâ€" ventila'ted one. Considerations of economy alone might preVail if noâ€" thing else would to induce them to give us . pure air in our churches, schools and other places of assemb- ly. If they were instructed not to wait until the place is filled with perspiring victims, and then have some one open. windows opposite each uuuisunr Opens January 5th in all depart- ments of the CENTRAL BUSI- NESS COLLEGE, Yonge and Ger- rard Streets, Toronto. Young unhatched crocodiles utter an audible creaking cry within the eggsin which they are laid, and the cry is so loud and distinct that it ~ can be heard when .the eggs are buried in one or two yards of sand. Dr. W. A. Lamborn tested“'the fact at Lagos, on the West African coast. He heard 2-. croaking noise from be low a dry path, and, digging in the path to' investigate the cause, he dis- covered thirteen crocodiles’ eggs at a. depth of about eighteen inches.
