The Lindsay Canoe club took a run down the river to Sturgeon Point on Friday evening last with fair friends in- vited. About forty couple in all. The steamer Alice Ethel, Captain Fee in com- Â¥mand, was utilized for the occasion. A stay about three hours was made at the Point, the party trifling the light fantastic in the recreation hall of the hotel, to music supplied by Messrs. Humphrey and Dennison. Lunchon was partaken of be- fore leaving for home, which was reached about one o’clock. Miss Foley is visiting her relatives u- Prescott. Mr. J. H. Pearman of Toronto, was in town on \Vednesday.
