W W. C. T. U. Notes. â€"â€"A very successful meeting of the W. C.T.U. was held on Monday, Dec, 5th. By the large attendance and deep interest taken in the meeting, there seems to be a revival in W.C.T. U. work. While the avowed object of the W.C.T.U. is the suppression of the liquor traflic, at the same time it carries on aggressive warfare, and grapples with every existing evil. The union has not yet been able to strike a crushing blow at its formidable and power- ful enemy, nor will it be able until it gets hold of the right weapon, that is the ballot.
