Fatal Accidentâ€"While a numher of men were engaged raising a burn an the farm of Mr. McNevin, emit half Lot No. 9, 6th Com, on Saturday last, one of the bents fell, instantly killing one man, and seriously injuring several more. It appears that the bent had been raised to its place, and, as they supposed, securely bmced at both ends. but the nails snapped and it fell, knock- ing the men in all directions. The un- fortunate young man, Malcolm McAv- thur, son of Mr. John McArthur, fell with his back against a plate and the bent striking him on the chest, killed him instantly. Several others were slightly injured but are rapidly recov- ering. The sad affair has cast a gloom over the whole community. Removalâ€"Dr. McKay has removed to his new residence and office, next to Messrs. J. A. Mitchell 6:. Co., and is making great improvements in the house and grounds.
