Mr. John Daniel, Reeve of Fenelon, is completing one of the finest barns in the township, probably in the county. 0n the (lay of raising framers from a distance made their appearance as spectators. it being in their cstimatioa impossible to get the building together Without altering some of the timber. However, the building went up without any alteration, everything in its own place and ï¬tting com letelv. We Would judge from observing Ir. Daniel's plans that he is a man of good construction and that Messrs. Franklin Dewel are men who thoroughly‘ understand their business in regard to mechanism and framing. The ()rnngemen celebrated the 12th at Colmconk,\vheru (uite a number of the brethren met. A Luge number of spectat- tors were present. The most of the farmers around here are done haying, and are now busily en aged in reaping fal wheat and barley. here is great prospects of a bountiful harvest this year. Fram Our Own Correspondent The “bear†is still a source of annoyance to nocturnal pedestrians. Cannot something he done to cut short his perambnlations. Come boys, load up your old mvskcfs ! The sum of 8500 is being ex ended on the road between Bolsover um Mud Lake. This is laudable, it being one of the most important roads in the township. A similar amount was expended on the same read last year, but not. with the best satisfaction. The work done so far this‘ year is very creditable to those engaged at it. From Our Own Correspondent. WE would notify the villagers that the Commisioners will be around this afternoon with a. subscription list, for the purpose of collecting subscript-ions to: the building of sidewalks in the village. It is thought that voluntary subscriptions for this object will save expense and will full more equally upon the villagers than the asaessment prin~ ciple. New sidewalks are badly need- ed and it is not necessary for us to pro»- sent the necessity of liberal contribu» tions. As it is for the beneï¬t of the entire community every person is ex-‘ pected to contribute. It is deemed expedient that the work should be prosecuted without delay as the old sidewalk has fallen into such a state of dilupidation as to render it decidedly unsafe. No subscription therefore will be accepted unless accompanied by the cash . Oï¬' Stock of Groceries now complete. New Teas. New Sugar. Lowest prices at H. Wilson’s.
