Great credit is due the Rev. Mr. McKee and his co-wurkers in the village for the energetic nmnnerin which they carried out the various arrange- ments. Every service was well attended and the evening discourses were parti- cularly interesting. A great many from a distance availed themselves of the op- portunity of visiting the village and all expressed themselves delighted with its beautiful surroundings and po<ition. With the co-operation of the various religious bodies of the village this event might be made the beginning of an annual gathering which would do a. vast amount of good. Tea. Concettaâ€"The interest awakened from Mr, McKay‘s efforts in connection with a concert is still increasing. It is now in such a condition that we may safely conclude that in this line it will surpass anything ever announced in Brechin. Taking into consideration the object. everyone seems entirely in sym- pathy with its progress. A comedy com- pany from a distance has been secured. They consider themselves amply quali- fied to render all necessary farces. and songs of a negro character to entertain for the evening. These are to be of a Sportive. laughable and ludicrous type. offensive to none. Popular amateurs in t1 e hne of solo rendering, have been en. caged notwithstanding the capacity of Brechin talent in this direction. To this may be added instrumental musnc from organ. violins. c. We hope that many will avail themselves of this ex- cellent opportunity and enjoy the even- ing with us in D. M. Smith’s Hall on the evening. of Sept. 12th.
