As a usual thing Woodville Fall Show is good and consequently the public do not hesitate in turning out to visit it. This year was certainly no exception to this and throughout, the affair was quite successful. The exhibits were good and numerous, the day was ï¬ne and the at- tendance large consequently all the elements necessary {or an excellent show were present. The show of stock this year was hardly up to that of former occasions but in other departments such as Poultry. Roots and Vegetables with the several departments of the Hall the display was good. In Poultry particular. 1y was the improvement noticeable most of the birds being in excellent trim and us to name. In roots, this section, if t shown here are a fair sample. can boast of having the best in the district, for we have not seen any elsewhere that could approach the exhibit shown either in size or quality. Under this title a great deal has been written, and yet the substance of the whole thing "lies in a nutshell," or rather in four wordsâ€"~“impur1ty of th0 blood." This is the source of debility or weakness, whatever may be the prox. imate or immediate cause of the misfor. tune, and they are numerous. When Holloway directed his attention to this important and not unfrequent state of ailment, he found numerous theories ex- isting ; but instead of being led away by vain disquisitions, he restricted himself to the consideration of what Nature re-l , quires for the maintenance of health and strength in the human system. As he said, the stomach must reduce food into a wholesome pulp, which, in due course, is converted by admixture with the bile secreted by the hver into a milky aub- stance, from which the nutritious por- . tion is taken up by the absorbents of the bowels and conveyed through its appro- priate vessel (the thoracic duct) to the heart, through which it passes to the lungs and becomes blood. circulating through every part of the system, whose . wear and tear it repairs, renews and in- vigoratesâ€"‘if it,bs.p_u_re..’ .If this be not the case, then the body wastesâ€"every part of it shrinks fur want of 'nutriment â€"the vital stamina failâ€"and there is general debility or weakness. It was this accurate and simple view of the subject which led to the composition of ' those Pills which the 'world had gladly aceepMd from Holloway, and found to. be such a perfect restorative of broken and dilapidated constitutionsâ€"from whatever cause proceedingâ€"whether the result of unbridled licentiousness and vice, or the consequence of exhausting and poisonous mineral medicines. For- tunately for humanity was the day when Thomas Holloway inaugurated his new mode of treatment. How many loving parents have since then blessed him for the preparation of a medicine which arrested the grip of Death when it was ï¬xing its inexorable talons in the hearts of their sons and daughters, which restored health and strength to worn organs, and. as it were, gave a new lease of life to bodies apparently doomed irrevocably to lingering decay and piece- meal dissolution l For, if there be one class of diseases more than others in which Holloway's Pills have been most successful. it is "General Debility.â€"â€" [Every Man his own Doctor.] at â€"â€"OF_.....
