The Board of Water Commissioners for the year 1900 beg to report as follows : 3. A statement of Revenue and Working Expenditure of the Waterworks for the half year from 1st July, 1900, to 1st January, 1901, is hereunto annexed. This statement, as will be seen, includes the water rates and accounts earned but unpaid, the supplies purchased and on hand, and also the liabilities incurred, outstanding and unpaid, thus shewing the true earning power of the works, and from which it. will be seen that the net proï¬t of running the works for the half year amounts to $925.43, a statement that should be gratifying to the rate- payers. l. A detailed statement of Receipts and Expenditures for the half year from lst July, 1900, to lst January, 1901, is hereunto annexed, sheWing the amount of rents, issues and proï¬ts arising from the water- works, the expenses of collection and management, and all other con- tingencies, the salaries of ofï¬cers and servants, the cost of repairs, improvements and alterations. 4. The total number of persons supplied with water during the half year is 285, and the amount of revenue from private consumers on 1st January, 1901, according to our water rate book, is as follows : 2.
