The news that there would be a re- duction on all insurance and busi- ness risks after the ï¬rst of May in Lindsay was welcome relief to those paying insurance in Lindsay. As was announced in yesterday's War- der, since the Water Commissioners have installed the new electric pump at the pump house the insurance companies have lowered their rates The new pqmp cost the toxin: $3,- 034, paid in installments, and the reduction .in the insurance rates amount to almost that ï¬gure every year. That the rates have been lowered in Lindsay is evidence of the fact that the insurance‘people are deal- ing fairly with the business men, and when the saving is so marked it must be very gratifying, indeed. 0n the business places on Kent and WiIJiam-sts. The rate is lowefed 15 per cent., and the result is that the business men of Lindsay will save at least $3,000 a. year. One save at least $3,000 a. year. one ï¬rm 0n Kent-st., -a10ne will save $150 a. year on their iï¬surance. The reduction was ‘made on May lst, but it does not effect the manufacturing concerns and tlieir rates remajn the same as before. FIRE INSURANCE RATES from The DI'.
