Bury's Green, Sept. 19.â€"Miss Maud Pogue spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Flett. fire broke out here Sunday utter» noon in the Queen's hotel, and for a. time it. looked as i! the entire hotel as well as a. number of surrounding buildings would be consumed by the ravaging flames. However. owing to the gallant work of the bucket brigade the fire was kept under con- trol and the blaze extinguished. The fire broke out about 2.80 o'clock in the afternoon between the ceiiing and the roof. and in a very short time a large portion of the roof was burned. The villagers quickly assembled and a. large buck- et brigade was formed and pails upon pails or water were thrown upon the burning building. The upper story of the hotel was badly gutted and the ground floor was also badly damaged by smoke and water. In fact the hotel was so badly damaged that the proprietor, Mr. Duncan J.
