Mr. Robertson followed up the same line as in the afternoon, especiallv dwel- ling on “The Relation of the Sab- bath School to the Home and the Church,†and Rev. Mr. Armstrong spoke on the missionary movements of our churches, particularly empha- sizing the Young Peoples’ Mission' ary Movement. ‘ ‘0 “I ,A,,, The addresses by Mr. Robertson and Mr. Armstrong were much enâ€" joyed, and those absent missed a treat. The treasurer’s report showâ€" ed the ï¬nances to be in good condi- tion, all accounts paid, and a bal- zaumuus. The President, Rev. N. D. Keith, of Wick, presided at the meetings. and his genial manner had a good deal to do with the success of the convention. Thirteen Sabbath schools and seven Young Peoples" societies reported. These reports on the whole were cheering, some of them were especially encouraging. It is to be regretted that a good many schools and societies did not report. The convention opened at 2 p. m., and after devotional exercises and the reading of the minutes of last year's convention, the Rev. J. C. Robertson, of Toronto, conducted an “Institute on Sabbath School Work.’ Mr. Robertson as General Secretary 0! Sabbath Schools is the right man in the right place, and the informa- tion giVen and the discussion provokâ€" ed were much enjoyed. The Rev. A. E. Armstrong, of Toronto. Ass’t. Secretary of the Foreign Mission Committee. spoke on .“The Ynung People and Missions†in the after- noon, and in an interesting manner showed how the formation of Mission Study classes would help the spirit- ual life of the young people. .
