It has become the custom of our educa- tional authorities to alter and re arrange the various examinations of the province every ï¬ve years. The last important changE, previous to the changes which go into force when the schools resume work for the present year, was the establish- ment of the public echocl leaving examina- tion. Mr. Reezln, the inspector for West Victoria. had much to do \ 'ith the estab« lishment of this examination, and has done ‘ much to get the teachers c f his inspector- ate to take up the work necessary for it. This examination is a grade more Mcnlt than the entrance examination, and the student who succeeds in passing it is en- titled to be placed in the secnn term of a Collegiate Institute. The changes made by the new la- tions are many and important, an we would advise all of our reads rs who are at all interested in the work of the teaching prciassion to study these changes very issues to give these changes in full, as it would take up too much of our space for and examined in Toronto by t e re 1 departmental examiners appointed I: m... m war. one of these examination: - magi hair was rate ooloxgand ceased falling out.
