The delegates were very numerous, and every session was well attended. The excellent results achieved were undoubtedly largely due to the ener- getic manner in which the convention was taken hold of bathe enthusiastic young secretary, Mr. A. Hardy of Lindsay. Those who have followed the reports of the proceedings of the convention will have noted with pleasure that the remark- able growth and popularity of this healthy young organization shows no signs 08‘ diminution, but tends on the contrary to ; increase on a still greater scale than hitherto. The objects of the Christian Endeavorers are so worthy and admirable that the more their work extends the better for the community at large. The members of these socities are mostly young people. and under proper direction capable of any amount of vigorous work for the.elevation of Canadians in every 1 thing that exalteth a nation. The follow- ‘ing resolution was passed at the ï¬nal session of the convention last night, viz.: “That whereas the recent disclosures of dishonesty in our political life are a dis honor to any Christian nation and hurtful to our highest welfare as individuals; therefore t e Christian Endeavorers of Ontario urge their socities to emphasize the teaching of honesty and integrity in all matters. and declare our conviction that the puriï¬cation of our political life is impossible if men are continued in places of high trust about whose business lâ€"L-.__u.__ COMMERCIAL NEWS. tne amencan market was open-E, The eggs have been sent principal] totthe States notwithstanding that the uty 61 ï¬ve cents has been deducted from the price.
