Those in charge had taken a great deal of trouble in decor- ating, and the appearance of the school showed that their work had not been in vain. The program was good throughout; each person taking part seemed determined to do his or ,her best, and that the audience was well pleased was shown by the repeated outbursts of applause. After the pro- gram was concluded Santa Claus apâ€" peared in person and distributed the gifts from the tree. Santa was in a. humorous state of mind and provided fun for all. The chairman for the evening was Mr. J. D. McFadyen, who performed his duties excellently.
