Locke, ofOniemee, a former pastor of George street church, and his Sermon, after :in absence of i r years, were very much appreciated by the large congregations, which, in spite of the unpleasant weather, almost filled the church. A: the morning service the members of the school who attended in a body, occupied the centre of the church, and the Sunday School Orchestra assxsted in the musical service Rev. Mr Locke preached a helpful sermon from the text, “While He Was Yet Young He Served the Lord,” in' the sermon on which he drew some useful lessons from the life of Josiah, and gave a number of reasons why the children should “serve the Lord while they are yet young.” The music at this service, which was led by the church choir, was appropriateto the day.
