BLANCHARD, 9A., aFORv ,UGH Prinéi pal. of Petei'borough for some days, we were just getting our pencil sharpened to write up a. most feeling epithnphic eulogy upon their sudden demise, for we missed them as the loss of an absent friend, but on Monday morning the IBM-[wu- came to hand reâ€"invigorated and looking more inviting than ever in a complete new form of eight pages, having diseurded the four page blanket style and we must- say that we will excuse its absence for the few days while it was in the transformation period, if it will only drop around regularly in the future. As for the Ermninei' we may say that If it is in its Chrysalis stage of existence also for a time, we hope to be favored with its daily call again soon, for no city or town outside of Toronto can boast of more readable and better conducted daily papers than our neighboring progress- ive town of Peterborough and the papers make the town in most cases. --A quiet little wedding took place in town on Tuesday last. The rectory was the scene of the event and the Rev. Archdeacon Allen tied the nuptial knot. The contracting parties were Mr. James Kinsman and Miss Annie Trew. After the ceremony was performed the happy couple left for their future abode at Centreville, where Mr. Kinsman has purchased that well known hotel, the Rossini House. Jimmy is an- experienced hotel man, having served a long apprenticeshxp with the present proprietor of the Queen’s, at which hostelry he will be greatly missed, owing to his amiable disposition, his readiness to oblige and the easy manner in which he always succeeded in making the guests of the house feel at home. With his large acquaintance with the travelling pub lie and their knowledge of him, we predict certain success in his present on dertaking, and at the sameltime the RE: PORTER joins his many friends here in wishing him and his happy bride an enjoyable voyge through life.
