A fire Friday evening at the home 'of Mr. and Mrs. James Craig, the former Mlorton nurs- ing home on Tupper Street, proved a stubborn one. to ex- tinguish, as the fire originated between the wall arond a fire- place. Mrs. Craig was feed- ing- her infant daughter when she seen smoke coming from a- round the dire-place and went nitsirle to investigate, here she could see smoke coming from around the chimney, and being alone her husband being at work, called a friend of the family Mr. Ted Quibell who sensed danger and had her call the Millbrook fire brigade.
