In Magnet of this year, whi'e in Toronto. Mr. Campbell was ap-i proachsd by the officials of the Man- ufacturers anl Temperance and Gen- eral Assurance Co.. of Toronto. to take charge of all the agencies in Eastern Ontario. After careful con- sideration he accepted, and now en- ters on his new duties. The newly amalgamated company has secured since the first of January (up to the first of Jab) applications for over $8,000,000 of new business, as against $2,230,000 for the same por- iod iu_1900. showing in emphatic fashion that the amalgamation is vimwsxhwith great favor. The com- pany is one of the strongest and moat carefully managed insurance organisations doing business in Canâ€" ada. The Hon. G. W. Ross. premier of Ontario. is nresident of the com- pany. and Mr. J. F. Junkin, a former resident of Fenelon Falls. and well and favorably known in this district is managing director. The foods have arrived and we are proud of the whole lot. They are in all sizes, from babieg’ Jvo. 1.3. up to boys’ and g‘irls’ 10s. Some are black, others are a pretty tan color. while others are made in a bright red. They are laced- buttoned and elastic. Some have spring heels and others have no heels at all. One kind has been fitted with corset steels. to support little pets with weak ankles. Another lot has been made very wide and short. for fat babies.
