- Description
- "Wylie's School"
- Notes
- Wylie's school was built on property given by my great great grandparents John and Euphemia (Mc Innis) Wylie and was situated on the corner of their farm. They had emigrated (separately) from Scotland in about the 1840's. Their son, Hugh, was an early teacher at the school. Four generations of the Wylie family (though not I) attended this school until it closed in the 1960's and was converted to a private residence.
