Squadron Leader Adams to Arrive Home on Saturday
Word has been received today by Mrs. R. T. Adams, 31 Sussex Street N. stating that her son, Squadron Leader Adams attached to the RCAF is expected to arrive in Lindsay to-morrow.
S L Adams enlisted here three years ago this month and went overseas in November of the same year.
He received considerable training in England and was attached to the ground crew there following which he went to France early in the invasion.
Mrs. Adams says he has written frequently and while he likes his work fine he was nevertheless anxious to visit home and she is just as anxious to have him home.
S L Adams received his early education at public school here and later attended L.C.I.- Media Type

- This card is part of a larger collection of World War II personnel clippings. The project began in 1944 at the Lindsay Library. The intent was to gather together as much information as possible on the military record and the service of people from the Town of Lindsay and the County of Victoria (now Kawartha Lakes)who served in the war. To that end, during the years 1944, 1945, and 1946, members of the public donated photographs and updated information about their loved ones. Both library staff and the public saved and donated newspaper clippings. Some of the files contain great amounts of detail, while others have just a name.
