HYMENEAL - A quiet but pleasing event took place at "Kerry Lawn," the residence of Matthew Perry, Esq., of this village, on Tuesday morning, the 6th inst. when his second daughter Pearl was united in marriage to Dr. C.E. Stacey of College st, Toronto. The Rev. N.J. Perry, rector of St. Thomas' church, St. Catherines, cousin of the bride, officiated. The bride, who wore a tailor made gown of army blue cloth, with hat to match, was supported by her sister, Miss Eugenie Perry, while Mr. B. Stacey assisted the groom; The ceremony was witnessed by only the near relatives and intimate friends of the contracting parties. After breakfast the happy couple left on the early morning train for the Thousand Islands, Montreal and eastern points. The bride was the recipient of a large number of valuable and elegant gifts, testifying to the high esteem in which she is held by her many friends and acquaintances. It is needless to say that she will be much missed in the social circle of our village. We extend our many congratulations.
