- Full Text
MATRIMONIAL WAVE.-Still another inter-
esting social event took place, at the family
residence on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 15th,
being the nuptials of Miss Emma Smale,
daughter of Mr. I. Smale, and Mr. W. S.
Reid, both of Ops. The bride was assisted by
her sister Miss B. Smale, while Rev. J.C.
Anderson supported the groom through the
presumably trying ordeal. Rev. A.C.Wil-
son, of Oakwood, performed the ceremony,
after which, the bridal repast was heartily en-
joyed. The bride and bridesmaid were beauti-
fully attired in cream cashmere and Spanish
lace. The happy couple drove to Lindsay,
and took the 6.10 train for an extended trip
west. May health, wealth and sweet content
be theirs, while drifting o'er the stream of
time. Sufficiently it is to say, the presents
were numerous and costly.
P.S.-This is a dozen weddings for Ops
with a short time. Ten within six months.
Any small place than can exceed this, kindly
let us know.
