COLESBRIDGE.
Special to the Warder.
A VERY pleasant even occurred in this
village on Wednesday, the 1st inst., being
the marriage of Miss Lucy Ida Cole,
second eldest daughter of Mrs. Cole to
Mr. John A. Johnston, of Bracebridge.
The ceremony was performed by the
Rev. Jas. Boydell, pastor of the English
church of Bracebridge. The bride was
supported by Miss Lina Brown, of Bays-
ville, while Mr. George Cole brother of
the bride, acted as best man for the groom.
The bride was attired in a very becoming
costume of brown satin, and the brides-
maid almost rivalled the bride in dress,
being attired in a suit of light drab, taste-
fully trimmed with delicate pink plush.
The ceremony was performed at 1.30
p.m., after which, the guests adjourned
to the spacious dining-room where a
sumptuous repast awaited them. The
table was laden with every thing of the
choicest kind. Among the guests were
Mr. and Mrs. Finn, of Bracebridge, Mr.
George Bick and Mr. Chas. Athill, of
Bobcaygeon, Messrs. Louis and Henry
DeLancest, Mr. E. W. Lackman, Mr.
George Beam, Mrs. Cowell, Mrs. Mossing-
ton and others of this place. After
dinner had been partaken of, the happy
pair left amid a shower of old shoes and
rice for a short trip to Toronto and other
places. They will take with them the best
wishes of all.
