A SWEET EXPERIMENT.--As has been stated in the Gazette, several persons in this village raised a few sugar canes in their gardens from seed given to them by the Rev. Mr. Logan, and one of them, Mr. Wm. Warren, tried the experiment of extracting the juice and boiling it down. The result is a sweet sticky substance somewhat resembling soft taffee, and as Mr. Warren left us a small glassful, subscribers who have paid in advance can have a taste as long as it lasts, and a slide of Mr. Byers's big turnip to eat with it if they choose.
