OBITUARY.--It is our melancholy duty this week to announce the death of Mrs. Nicholls, so long and favourably known in this village as Miss Ada Upperton. Mrs. Nicholls was always a favourite wherever known, being a woman of sterling worth, of genial manners, a warm friend, and a sincere Christian. She died at Alliston, in the county of Gray, on the 25th inst., from exhaustion brought on by long continued nursing of several children down with diptheria. She was buried at Lindsay on the 27th inst. She is much and deservedly lamented by a large circle of friends.
