Fenelon Falls, Dec. 13th, 1880.

Council met pursuant ti adjournment. Members present, James Dickson, Reeve, and Councillors Cunningham, Campbell and Deyman. Communications read by the Reeve from J. H. Thompson, Clerk of the Village of Bobcaygeon, with reference to the Grand Junction Railway petitioning the Ontario Government for aid to extend said Railway to this village. Mr. Cunningham gave notice that at this meeting of Council he would introduce a by-law to extend the time for the collection of taxes in this municipality.

Moved by Mr. Cunningham, seconded by Mr. Campbell, That By-Law No. ---, entitled a by-law to extend the time for the collection of taxes in this municipality, be now introduced and read a first time.--Carried.

By-law read in committee of the whole without amendment, Mr. Cunningham in the chair. By-law passed in the usual way.

Moved by Mr. Campbell, seconded by Mr. Deyman, That the following abatements be made for loss sustained by fire:--E. D. Hand, $6; J. D. Smith, $7.--Carried.

Moved by Mr. Cunningham, seconded by Mr. Campbell, That the following accounts be paid and the Reeve give his orders for the same:--R. C. Smith, for plank &c. for sidewalks, $151 01; Scott & Andrus, photographing re V.R.R., $4; G. H. Bertram, nails for sidewalks, $5 05; Robson & Robson, for grate for drain on Bond street, $1 50.--Carried.

Moved by Mr. Campbell, seconded by Mr. Deyman, That the bond given by Mr. W. Jordan as surety for the treasurer for one year from date of bond, say Dec. 1st, 1881, be received, and that the Reeve be instructed to have it registered in the usual manner.--Carried.

Moved by Mr. Cunningham, seconded by Mr. Campbell, That this Council join in a memorial from Bobcaygeon and the other municipalities memorializing the Ontario Government to give a subsidy in extension of the Grand Junction Railway from Peterboro' to Fenelon Falls, and the Reeve be appointed as a deputation on behalf of this village for the purpose aforesaid.--Carried.

Council adjourned, to meet at call of the Reeve.
