WEDDING BELLS.-The Peterboro Times of
yesterday morning says: A very pleasing
ceremony took place last night at the re-
sidence of Mr. Ritchard Hall, when his
daughter, Miss Annie, was married to Mr. J.
Spier, M.D. of Montral. The nuptials were
solemnized int he presence of a large number
of the friends and relatives of the bride and
groom, and the words that made the happy
couple one, were spoken by Rev. Dr. Torrance
of st. Paul's presbyterian church. The bride
was assisted by Miss Laura Davidson, town,
as bridesmaid, and Mr. E. Gregory of Lindsay,
acted in the capacity of groomsman. The
wedding ceremony was both impressive and
beautiful. The newly wedded pair were the
recipients of many magnificient and costly
presents. They left on the 11.40 train for
Montreal, which will be their future home,
amid the warm congratulations and well
wishes of a host of friends. (THE WARDER
extends congratulations to the happy young
couple and wishes them all the good things of
this and other worlds. Senator and Mrs.
Ogilvie and Mr. and Mrs. McMurtry of Mon-
treal, Mr. and Mrs. Gemmill of Ottawa, Mr.
and Mrs. Playfair of Midland and Mrs.
Ogilvie of Montreal, and Professor and Mrs.
Carlyle of Montreal, were among the dis-
tinguished guests at the marriage ceremony.
Congratulations were also extended to Mr. and
Mrs. Spier of this town. Ed. WARDER
