(Correspondence of the Gazette.)
A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Elliott on Thursday, March 6th, when their youngest daughter, Gertrude, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Mr. Leslie Brooks, of Bury's Green. The bride, who was very becomingly attired in pale blue silk mull, was given away by her brother John, and entered the parlor to the strains of the wedding march by Miss Marie Junkin. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Honey of Bobcaygeon. After the usual congratulations the guests, numbering about fifty, entered the dining room, where a sumptuous wedding supper was served. The groom's gift to the bride was a gold bracelet, and to the pianist was a broach. The travelling suit was brown whip cord, with hat to match. Mr. and Mrs. Brooks have the best wishes of the community for a long and happy life. They will reside in Fenelon. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Elliott also received congratulations of their many freinds. it being their thirty-fifth anniversary of their wedding day.
