- Golden Wedding. ---- A very pleasant event took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. B. Moise, Dale, Ont., on Good Friday, it being the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding day. Mr. and Mrs. Moise were married in Kilkhampton, England, fifty years ago, and shortly afterwards came to Canada, where they have resided ever since, principality in Hope township. A large number of friends and relatives assembled to celebrate the day, coming from Toronto, East Toronto, Leskard, Fenelon Falls, Newcastle, Orono and other places. The following address was read by Mrs. Benjamin Moise, Jr., of Newcastle, and Mr. Ernest Hawke, of Leskard, presented a well-filled purse of gold: Dear Father and Mother; Your children and friends have met here together to-day to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of your married life, and we all wish you many happy returns of this day, and hope that, when this short life is ended, we may all meet, an unbroken family, around the Great White Throne in heaven. We now ask you to accept this gold as a slight token of our love and respect. Signed on behalf of your children and friends. J. W. Moise, Mrs. W. Mitchell. Mr. Moise made a very suitable reply on behalf of himself and Mrs. Moise, thanking all for their very kind remembrance. Mr. E. B. Neal then took a photo of the family group, and afterwards of the entire party and house. One of the most interesting features of the occasion was the christening of the youngest grandson by the Rev. Mr. Anderson, of Welcome. Music and singing were enjoyed by all during the day, and, after supper had been served, the affair was brought to a close, all having spent a very pleasant day.
