- Description
- Loblaws, Lindsay, had large posters up to outline their shopping guidelines and changes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Store hours were adjusted to be 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, 7 days a week, to give store staff time to stock shelves, sanitize, and have time off. Seniors-only shopping hours were 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, 7 days a week. Alcohol purchasing was available from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Shoppers having symptoms of COVID-19 or those that should be self-isolating were not allowed to enter the store at any time.
Loblaws also put out a call for temporary labour, opening up many new temporary positions to meet demand in grocery and pharmacy stores and in distribution centres.
Healthcare workers were allowed to skip the line to enter the store by showing their healthcare photo ID.
All bulk items and bread were only available pre-packaged and store capacity of customers was limited. - Publisher
