- Description
- To support the health and well being of staff and residents, starting Sunday March 15, 2020 all branches of the Kawartha Lakes Public Library were closed to the public until at least April 6, 2020.
Library closures were extended in line with the City's and the Province's state of emergency. No word of libraries reopening physical spaces was heard from the province until May 19, 2020 where libraries were allowed to open up for pickup and delivery services only. Many libraries around the province did not reopen right away as they scrambled to make sure they had policies and procedures in place for the safety of staff and library users. - Publisher
