- Local arts groups were hit by coronavirus closures as part of the entertainment and recreation sectors ordered to close as part of the state of emergency. Many turned to online platforms to share virtual exhibits, but wide-sweeping closures and cancellations continued to take place. Some organizations faced grant submissions held in limbo and plans for future exhibits and hiring could not take place.
