- Description
- Two residents of Pinecrest Nursing Home died from COVID-19. As of March 26, 14 staff members had tested positive for COVID-19 and 35 other residents including the deceased had developed symptoms of COVID-19.
When the initial respiratory outbreak was declared by the health unit on March 18, 2020, staff at Pinecrest followed all proper procedures to help contain the spread of the virus. Ill staff did not come to work and were advised to self-isolate; residents were isolated as best they could be; group activities were stopped and meals were served on trays to residents in their rooms rather than in the dining room. - Publisher
