- Description
- An inmate that arrived at Central East Correctional Centre (CECC) last week tested positive for COVID-19 and was placed in medical isolation upon admission.
CECC had its own individualized pandemic plan in place like all correctional institutions. These measures included personal protective equipment for all staff, staff and visitors were required to wear masks at all times (masks were provided to inmates if required), temperature checks for staff and visitors, working with the local public health unit to test inmates and staff as appropriate, and housing new inmates in a separate area from the general population for 14 days. - Publisher
