- Ontario gave Kawartha Lakes tourism a boost through a $1.4 million investment. $907,000 was given to Regional Tourism Organization 8 (RTO8) for area initiatives and $350,000 invested into hyper-local marketing campaigns.
The province also invested $150,000 in Kawartha KidsFest, the Lindsay Exhibition, and the International Plowing and Rural Expo.
