(Graphic: OHL) The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) announced on Wednesday (August 5) that it is planning to return to play on Tuesday, December 1st -- as long as it's safe for players, fans, and staff. Over the next four months, the OHL says it will continue to work with government and health agencies to deal with outstanding issues such as safe attendance at venues and cross-border travel for teams and players. The season will include a 64-game schedule and a 16-team playoff format. The regular season is scheduled to end on April 29, 2021, with the Memorial Cup -- hosted by either the Oshawa Generals or Soo Greyhounds --scheduled to be played June 17 to 27, 2021.
