- As Ontarians braced for a different type of school year in September 2020, parents wondered whethey they should be sending their young children to school with a mask - even if it's not mandatory.
Masks were not mandatory for children in Grade 3 and under (but were encouraged) or for those with medical, developmental or mental health issues that made them unable to wear masks.
Children under age 10 were shown by research of the time to be not particularly contagious, accounting for less than 5 to 10 per cent of COVID-19 infections worldwide. - Publisher
