- Hutchinson called for lobbying support from the public to push the provincial government to take the steps that would allow for the safest school reopening possible for students and staff. Educational workers were expected to return to work on September 8, 2020, with staggered arrivals of students for the first week. Bus drivers were asked to deal with full buses with little protection and teacher to spend five or more hours a day with groups of students that could number in excess of 35 per room.
