September 29: Hospital asks for consideration when joining line for drive-thru COVID testing

- Ross Memorial Hospital asked those coming to the drive-thru COVID-19 assessment centre to join the line at Sussex Street (Lindsay) instead of Kent Street West to support good traffic flow down Kent Street West.
They also reminded the public that they should only be seeking a test if they demonstrated COVID-19 symptoms. - Inscriptions
- There is a significant line at our COVID-19 Assessment Centre this morning. Please join the line on Sussex St. rather than Kent St. W to support traffic flow.
Remember, you should only seek testing at an assessment centre if:
- You are showing COVID-19 symptoms
- Your public health unit or the COVID Alert app notifies you that you have been exposed to a confirmed case of the virus.
- You live or work in a setting that has a COVID-19 outbreak, as identified by your local public health unit.
- You live or work in an at-risk setting, such as a long-term care home, homeless shelter or other congregate setting.
- You will be visiting a long-term care home.
- You are eligible for testing as part of a targeted testing initiative as determined by the Ministry of Health or Ministry of Long-Term Care, similar to the earlier campaign to target long-term care home residents.
