Description
The Kawartha Lakes Food Source reported serving an additional 758 new individuals so far in 2020 in addition to the 1717 existing clients using 10 food banks across the city.

COVID-19 only compounded the extreme challenges already
faced by low-income community members and their ability to afford necessities as a result of insufficient social assistance programs, unaffordable housing, precarious employment, and systemic racism and inequality.
