The Kawartha Lakes Police Service issued a statement that they would not be arbitrarily stopping pedestrians or motorists without causing following an announcement by the Provincial governments giving police temporary powers to stop residents and question them without cause about their comings and goings during the latest COVID-19-related provincial lockdown.
