- Description
- From Glen Burke, photographer and donor of slides:
These photos of Number 6060 were taken at the long-gone Canadian Pacific passenger station in Peterborough at the south-west corner of Charlotte and Aylmer Streets in July 1976.
The train arrived from Toronto on the CPR track, later abandoned, and currently the subject of a possible renewal by the GO train system to encourage Peterborough-Toronto daily commuter traffic.
People came from far and wide to see the engine, which was well known locally, and which supported many employees in its heyday. - Date of Publication
