Smith of this city has reduced the amateur and professional skating records for all dis- tances from six to twenty miles at the Edgerton Street Rink, in this city, this week. Smith's time is the fastest ever recorded in any country and will stand as the world's record. The ten- wile American record was previously held by Jos. F.
