Three services were held on Sunday, at 10 a.m. by Rev. Mr. Stobbs, who preached a very appropriate sermon. Rev. J. Smith preached in the alternoon, he also gave. us a very excellent discourse ; tho subject was the ¢ Incarnaiion of Christ.' The subject was well handled by the Rev. gentleman. The congregations were large and collections )d. On Monday the services commenc- «el at 10 o'clock a. m., when the séhool as- sembled at Greenbank to wait the reception of Bethesda Sunday School under the cherge of Mr. Pilkey. The school then formedjin procession and marched to Mr. McLaw- rence's grove abouta § of a mile from Greenbank, where the anxious friends and parents were wailing the reception schools. The etaorare choir Eo Uxbriane was in attendance and added much to the interest of the occasion. The platform was well filled with speakers, and the chair was taken by Rev. J. Smith. The first speaker called was Rev. R. Patterson, who spoke of the benefits of Sabbath School training. Mr. Pierson next addressed the audience who handled the subject of Sabbath echools with a good deal of eathusiasm and sprit. After a few recitations by the echolars 'the audience retired to tea, where there was an abundance of good things provided. Aftertea the audience assembled before the stand when the Rev Mr. Miller was called to address the assembly, which he did in a very able and aflectibnate manner, stating the good results ot theSabbath School in his own conversion, and kindly and sol- emly urging on teachers and parents to live and labor and not be discouraged, to have faith in God, and in the successful and blessed results of Sabbath School mstruz- tion. 3 The next speaker called, --was the Rev. Mr. Stobbs. He gave us a very excellent address on the benefits resulting (rom Sab- bath School training. The subject was justly dealt with. The audience then re. assembled at the table for another feast of good things, which the good ladies bad provided. Although busily engaged they appeared to enjoy themselves very much. After tea the choir gave some beautiful music. Mr. Squelch of Brock, then addressed the audience, after which the Secretary's Report was read, and was by no means disrouraging. After paying expenses, the School had £51 to good in cash. The usual votes of (hanks were then tendered. The choir sung that anthem * God save the Queen." And the audience dispersed highly pleased with the pr of the day. A SUBSCRIBER. et --e MonTREAL, July 10. Mr. Canchon has been called upon to form a. miustry for the assembly at Que-- bee. J.S.
