Our policy is_as follows There is only room in any cne locality for one telephone system. We rec- ognize that there is no company in Canada, with sufficient capital to own and operate all telephone lines and give adequate service to the public. Therefore, we shall on all occasions assist in any way any smaller Independant company that will accept assistance from us. We believe that territories should be mapped out for each company and that the subscribers of both companies should be permitte dto talk with each other over trunk lines between the two companies centrals =~ We have approximately six hundred similar connections in Ontario and Quebec.
